||This online, synchronous Ontario College Graduate Certificate program provides teacher candidates with the theoretical foundations and practical techniques to help learners develop proficiency in English as a foreign language. Students acquire specialized knowledge and skills in the area of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) methodology, teaching techniques, curriculum design and evaluation to prepare for a career in teaching EFL internationally. In addition, students gain essential hands-on experience by completing a minimum of 20 hours of practicum in their country of residence, as well as an optional teaching internship in Canada.

Applicants with International transcripts must provide proof of the specific requirements noted above along with proof of either: IELTS-International English Language Testing Service-Overall band of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band OR TOEFL-Internet-based (iBT)-overall 88, with the minimum of 22 in each component: Reading 22; Listening: 22 Speaking: 22, Writing: 22.
