Description This one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program prepares graduates for a rewarding managerial career in the field of Project Management. Project management is a highly sought discipline that involves the application of knowledge, skills and techniques to plan and execute projects effectively and efficiently. As the marketplace becomes increasingly complex and globally competitive, organizations are expecting more out of project management practitioners. In addition to technical skills, an organization`s strategic and bottom line success depends on project managers capably demonstrating a balance of skills in leadership and business management. Practitioners who drive an organization`s project performance for their organizations are in high demand across many industries. Algonquin College is a Registered Education Provider (REP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI) and is approved by the PMI to issue Professional Development Units (PDU) for its training courses. Students are provided with the tools, perspective and the expertise necessary to successfully achieve results and deliver value. Through the application of concepts, strategies and best practices, students learn to move a project through its life cycle phases.

Applicants with International transcripts must provide proof of the subject specific requirements noted above along with proof of either: IELTS-International English Language Testing Service-Overall band of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band; OR TOEFL-Internet-based (iBT)-overall 88, with the minimum in each component: Reading 22; Listening: 22; Speaking: 22; Writing: 22.
