||German Studies at Swansea is concentrated in the Research Centre for Contemporary German Culture (CCGC), with clusters in the following areas: the Eastern Turn in German Literature and German-Turkish writing; film and literature about the Red Army Faction / Baader-Meinhof Group; Crime Fiction; and the works of the Nobel Laureates, Elias Canetti, Günter Grass and Herta Müller. We also have expertise in feminist theory and women’s writing and Austrian Studies (Kafka, Schnitzler, Bachmann). Staff are involved in the Centre for Research into Gender in Culture and Society (GENCAS).
