Master of Nursing programs prepare nurses for advanced practice in focused areas that may include direct clinical practice, education, or health policy/leadership. The thesis-based program offers a focused supervised research experience. Thesis-based students have a total of four years to complete the program. The Master's Program offers three routes: M.N. course-based, M.N. thesis-based and the integrated Master of Nursing/Nurse Practitioner (M.N./NP). Both the M.N. course-based and the M.N. thesis-based routes require a minimum of two years of clinical experience. The M.N. course-based program can be taken concurrently with the post-master's Nurse Practitioner (NP) Diploma program, commonly referred to as the M.N./NP.
