||Epidemiology is the study of the distribution and determinants of health-related events in populations and the application of this study to the control of health problems.
The primary objective of the PhD program is to train epidemiologists as independent investigators in an academic or equivalent research positions, or in a position of professional leadership in a health or related agency where research is an important function. Three elements comprise the program: coursework, comprehensive exam, and a dissertation.

- Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 600] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 88]
For international students, if required, a TOEFL total score of at least 600 (paper-based) or TOEFL iBT minimum scores of: writing (24/30); speaking (22/30); reading (22/30); listening (20/30); and total score (88/120). Applicants must have the minimum score in each test as well as the minimum overall score.
