||The MSc in Rehabilitation Science (MSc RS) program is designed for graduate students who ultimately want careers as independent scientists in health-related disciplines. It serves as a stepping stone on the pathway to advanced research training for students planning to pursue a PhD in Rehabilitation Science or related fields.
The MSc RS program offers a thesis master's degree with a research orientation in the rehabilitation disciplines. Students who possess a recognized clinical practice credential at the time of entry or who, after admission and prior to graduation, acquire such a credential on the basis of their work in a previous degree program will be able to denote their area of emphasis on their MSc RS degree with the following specific designations under field of Specialization: Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology or Aging. Normally, students select one of the aspects of rehabilitation science described among the research interests listed by the individual graduate faculty members as the focus of their thesis research. Preliminary contact with individual faculty members is encouraged to establish shared research interests and compatible views of the teaching/learning relationship.
