||Western Law’s MSL thesis-based degree can be completed full-time in or part-time. It provides an opportunity for a university graduate (without legal training), to explore areas of law related to her or his educational background through participation in five graduate level courses and writing and defending a thesis. The thesis process will give the student the chance to bring together ideas gleaned through the courses and the previous background knowledge which the student brings to the program. This degree does not prepare its graduates for entry into legal practice. The Master of Studies in Law (project-based) provides an opportunity for students (without prior legal training) to explore a range of areas of law through participation in eight courses at the graduate level followed by completion of a major research paper. The MSL project-based degree can be completed full-time or part-time. This degree does not prepare its graduates for entry into legal practice.
