||This graduate training program is a six-year joint program leading to a Doctor of Medicine/Master of Science in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery. The program uses the facilities of the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, the IWK-Grace Health Care Centre and Dalhousie University, all located in Halifax.
Students receive extensive training in surgical correction of dentofacial deformities, cleft lip and palate, maxillofacial trauma and other surgery as it pertains to the specialty. An important part of the program is devoted to research, including an original research project leading to a master's thesis and defence.

|Additional Admission Requirements:
Applicants must submit at least two academic letters of reference. The letters should be in sealed envelopes with the referee's signature over the seal. Applicants must also submit a Curriculum Vitae, including information regarding academic background and work/volunteer experience. Additionally, they must submit a personal statement outlining the reason for interest in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
