Description The MSc Course-based option in the Rehabilitation Science Program provides training to physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other health professionals who want to obtain a master’s degree relevant to their practice. This program provides flexibility for working clinicians at a distance to complete the program entirely online and on a part-time basis. Students also have the option to take on-campus courses. Courses emphasize evidence-based practice, clinical measurement/evaluation, critical thinking and application of knowledge to practice.

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 580] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Computer Based) [min. 237] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 100] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 85]

Applicants whose native language is not English will be required to submit an official copy of their TOEFL score, or other evidence of competency in English is required. A minimum TOEFL (iBT) score of 100 (580 on the paper-based TOEFL test or 237 on the computer-based TOEFL test) is needed for the Faculty of Health Sciences. Students taking the IELTS are required to achieve a minimum score of 6.5 with a minimum score of 5.5 in each category. Students taking the MELAB are required to achieve a minimum score of 85. Equivalent scores on other recognized tests may also be considered. Each of these scores are only valid for 2 years. Students who have completed an Academic ESL program through Canadian academic institutions may petition to have this considered in lieu of TOEFL. Applicants may be exempted from this requirement if they have completed a university degree at which English is the language of instruction.
