Description The Department of Oncology offers the degrees of MSc and PhD either as an independent program for those proceeding from a BSc or as part of a postgraduate training program for post-MD applicants. Applicants with the MSc degree, or a strong undergraduate record, may be accepted directly into the PhD program. The Department offers specializations in Experimental Oncology, Palliative Care, Oncological Imaging and Medical Physics. Experimental Oncology comprises studies in cellular and molecular biology relevant to the genesis, prognosis, and treatment of cancer. Palliative Care, Oncologic Imaging and Medical Physics comprise studies in physiological, cell imaging and physics approaches to the understanding, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
