||The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures offers the degree of Master of Arts (MA) in Spanish. The objective of the program is to provide advanced training in the literatures and cultures of Spain and Latin America, as well as in Hispanic linguistics, benefiting from the theoretical and comparative research interests of the professors of the department.

|Additional Admission Requirements:
Two recommendation letters, official transcripts of all universities attended, resume (must include chronological academic history), letter of intent (setting your interest to pursue graduate work in Spanish at the University of Ottawa), and writing sample in Spanish: an example of written work in your area of interest (12-30 pages) are required. Candidates might be interviewed by a professor or professors assigned by the Section.
