||If you are contemplating a research-oriented career in academia, a doctor of philosophy degree will interest you. A doctoral degree builds on the knowledge and skills you have acquired during a previous degree and includes a minimum four years of study. You have the choice of degrees in epidemiology, health promotion and socio-behavioural sciences, health services and policy research, and public health. You will increase your ability to generate new knowledge in the field of public health.

- Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 580] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 7] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7]
Applicants may also take a PTE with a minimum score of 59 in order to prove their English proficiency.

Transcripts are also required. Preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated high-level research aptitude and competence in the application of their discipline to research. The evidence for aptitude and competence includes previous engagement with in-depth public health research/practice, research scholarships or fellowships, and/or a research publication track record.
