||With more than eighty faculty and one hundred and fifty students, we are the largest graduate program in health-related research in the Faculty of Health Sciences. Our program is interdepartmental and provides students with the opportunity to become competent investigators in a wide variety of health-related research areas. We are ideally positioned for preparing students for future careers in biomedical and translational research.
The Medical Sciences Graduate Program provides opportunities for multidisciplinary graduate education in the Health Sciences within several areas relevant to human health.

- Test of English as a Foreign Language (Computer Based) [min. 237] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 580] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 92] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7]
Applicants whose native language is not English will be required to submit an official copy of their TOEFL score, or other evidence of competency in English is required. A minimum TOEFL (iBT) score of 92 (580 on the paper-based TOEFL test or 237 on the computer-based TOEFL test) is needed for the Faculty of Health Sciences. Students taking the IELTS are required to achieve a minimum score of 7. Equivalent scores on other recognized tests may also be considered. Each of these scores are only valid for 2 years. Students who have completed an Academic ESL program through Canadian academic institutions may petition to have this considered in lieu of TOEFL. Applicants may be exempted from this requirement if they have completed a university degree at which English is the language of instruction.

Applicants are required to submit two academic references from faculty members, the Research Questionnaire and Statement of Interest, and a curriculum vitae.
