Description Queen's University at Kingston offers fully accredited training programs in anatomical pathology, general pathology and hematological pathology. The neuropathology program is currently inactive. In addition, research programs, under the School of Graduate Studies and Research at Queen's University, are offered to qualified students, leading to the degrees of Master of Science (MSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Training and experience in various research fields may be obtained concurrently with the residency program. Thrombosis and hemostasis, cancer biology, cyto and molecular genetics, neurophysiology and amyloidosis are the areas of active research within the department. Queen's Pathology has a well-developed outreach program that provides residents with community hospital experience.
