||Chemical and Materials Engineering is a chemically oriented engineering program emphasizing energy and materials leading to the degree B.Eng. in Chemical and Materials Engineering. Graduates with this degree provide vital contributions to several technologies critical to the military and civilian sectors of our country.
These technologies involve the revolution in materials to include plastics, ceramics and composites, energy, fuels and transportation, absorbents for breathing systems, the environment, the public health field with biomedical applications, drug design, and synthesis.
The core of the engineering portion follows traditional chemical engineering curriculum with further specialization in the areas of energy and materials. A unique feature of the program is inclusion of nuclear technology and safety related courses.
