|Field of Study:
||Central/Middle and Eastern European Studies
||The approach of the Institute is interdisciplinary. EURUS offers you a wide range of seminars (including some taught by renowned visiting professors from the European Union and Russia). EURUS seminars are supplemented by courses and faculty expertise provided by cooperating departments including the Departments of Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, and the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs.
The Institute hosts a specially-designed two-part core seminar (EURR 5001 and EURR 5200 or 5300) for students in the MA program. Students select a concentration (Russian, Eurasian and Transition Studies OR European and European Union Studies), take additional course credits, and complete either a thesis (EURR 5908, 2.0 credits) or a research essay (EURR 5909, 1.0 credit).
