Master
Field of Study:
Bioethics/Medical Ethics;
Description:
The M.D./M.Sc. dual degree program is designed for medical students with a desire to become involved with original; thesis oriented research and provides students with additional credentials when seeking careers in specific areas of advanced medical research. Concentrations include Bioethics, Ecology, Epidemiology, Immunology, Microbiology, Neuroscience, and Public Health.
The curricula for the combined M.D./M.Sc. degrees reflect areas of investigative research that enhance preventive medicine and healthcare delivery in Grenada, other Caribbean states, and internationally. Medical students enrolled in the dual degree program decelerate their pre-clinical medical sciences to facilitate their M.Sc. program.
Candidates interested in a graduate program or M.D./M.Sc. program must complete and submit the School of Medicine application form and include the Graduate Addendum. The Board of Admissions for the Medical or Veterinary Medicine program will review those applying for a dual degree program first. Upon acceptance, an appropriate representative of the requested program of study will conduct an interview, and the Dean of Graduate Studies and faculty members will review the request for the dual degree program.
