Description: The Division of Pharmacy, College of Pharmacy and Nutrition offers graduate studies in the areas of pharmaceutics/drug and vaccine delivery, medicinal/pharmaceutical chemistry, bio- and nanotechnology, molecular biology, pharmacokinetics, clinical pharmacy, pharmacy education, practice research, pharmacoeconomics and pharmacoepidemiology and toxicology, and also participates in the Interdisciplinary Toxicology and Interdisciplinary Public Health graduate programs. The College of Pharmacy and Nutrition is focusing research activities in areas that are highly relevant to improving health and quality of life – in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical sciences, neurosciences, primary/ambulatory care and nutritional, lifestyle, and community research. Collaborative graduate opportunities exist with other health science, biomedical science and natural science departments, the school of Public Health, health regions and related agencies (Pharmalytics Inc. and PharmaDerm Laboratories, Ltd.). The Canadian Light Source synchrotron provides additional opportunities for discovery in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology and the College has an Exchange and Collaboration Agreement with Meiji Pharmaceutical University in Japan.

Applicants require a Bachelor of Science Four-year Honours degree (B.Sc.) in Pharmacy or other life, natural or social science from a recognized college or university with a minimum scholastic standing of 70% Cumulative Weighted Average in last two years.
