The PhD program in Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan prepares nurse scholars for leadership roles with the knowledge and skills to advance nursing as an academic, research, and practice discipline. During this educative process, doctoral students will participate in critical appraisal, knowledge generation, research synthesis, and knowledge transfer. As graduates, these nurse scientists will contribute to the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities with recognition of their diversities, vulnerabilities, and their environments for health and care. |

| Prerequisites: |
A master’s degree in a field relevant to the Ph.D. program of studies, applicants must also currently be registered as a nurse or psychiatric nurse in a Canadian province or territory. Graduate courses in statistics, research methods and nursing theory must be completed. A minimum average of 80% or equivalent in previous graduate work is required. Applicants should be able to demonstrate previous research experience through completion of a thesis or other research experience.
