| Description: |
The Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education does not offer a formal PhD program. However it is possible for well qualified students to be admitted to an Ad Hoc doctoral program within any department at McGill.
Exceptional students interested in pursuing an Ad Hoc PhD program may work in concert with a McGill faculty member to complete the admission application. The student is expected to present a detailed dissertation proposal and identify course work to be followed.
In addition, the student must justify that McGill is the appropriate place of study and that it has sufficient physical, financial and human resources to support the student's program.
Thus, in order to complete the application requirements, a student must first obtain the support of a faculty member and thesis committee who will facilitate the process. Contact should be made directly with the faculty member. |
