The department offers programs leading to a Postgraduate Diploma (P.G.D.), Master of Engineering (M.Eng.), Master of Engineering (M.Eng.), Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D). The department has well equipped research and teaching laboratories, and allows either experimental or theoretical research projects. Students may be involved in a specialized research-oriented activity, collaboration with industry, or research centres in Canada. |

Applied Mechanics, Materials and Metallurgy, Manufacturing, Fluid and Thermal Sciences, Bio-engineering, Robotics, and Control Systems. Multidisciplinary studies are encouraged with the cooperation of other departments. Experimental, numerical, and theoretical investigations are carried out using a large number of research labs and computer systems. |

Applicants must hold a degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in a field related to Mechanical Engineering. A cumulative weighted average of at least 70% (U of S grade system equivalent) in the last two years of study (i.e. 60 credit units).
