| Description: |
The department of computer science offers thesis-based master's and doctoral programs. In general, the master's program trains graduates who will become senior technical professionals in industry or prepares students for entry into a doctoral program. The doctoral program trains graduates for careers in academic or industrial research.
We also offer a post-degree specialization certificate (PDSC) which is intended for students who have completed or are completing a four year University degree in some other discipline, and who wish to complete a Computer Science program in addition. |

| Prerequisites: |
To be admitted to the Ph.D. program an applicant must hold a thesis-based M.Sc. in Computer Science (or an equivalent background) and a University of Saskatchewan equivalent grade point average (GPA) of 80%. The applicant must show an ability to work independently and engage in original research. In addition, all applicants must satisfy the regulations for admission to the College of Graduate Studies and Research as set out in the University Calendar.
