Description: The Basic Behavioural Science program is intended for students who wish to focus primarily on basic experimental research and theoretical issues, as opposed to applied training. Most faculty in this area have research funding from national granting agencies and they work very closely with graduate students in a wide variety of research topics. Facilities are state-of-the art for working with both human and animal subjects.

The Basic Behavioural Science Graduate Program is designed for students who wish to focus primarily on basic research and theoretical issues. Our objective is to train highly-qualified scientists for basic psychological research in university, hospital, community, industry, or government settings. BBS offers two areas of specialization: Behavioural Neuroscience and Cognitive Science.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Grade for Entrance Previous Year (%)*: 70
Prerequisites:

Applicants require a 1 year Master of Arts (M.A.) Behavioural Science (BBS). A cumulative weighted average of at least 70% (U of S grade system equivalent) in the last two years of study (i.e. coursework required in Master's program).
