Description This program is designed to prepare leaders in the field of education who are committed to personal and institutional improvement in schools and other centres of formal or informal learning. A central theme of the program is the impact of policy on educational practice at local, national, and international levels. The program fosters the ongoing development of reflective practitioners who have a sense of educational action, the capacity to anticipate needs, the ability to exercise professional judgement within the realities of policy frameworks, and the ability to both lead and support institutional and organizational change at all levels.

Applicants to the Certificate and M.A. programs must submit: A current curriculum vitae; A letter of intent specifying academic and professional experience and interests (specifically, research interests for the Thesis option or project interests for the Non-Thesis Project option). Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, at least one of which must be from a university-level instructor; the other may be from an administrator in an educationally relevant context.
