Description Students may complete a master's degree in Ancient History by fulfilling the requirements of the MA Program in History (either thesis or non-thesis option) under the supervision of a professor in Classical Studies. Ancient History MA students are encouraged to fulfil course requirements with graduate courses relevant to the history of ancient Greece and Rome. Applicants to the master's program in Ancient History should have at least one year of ancient Greek and/or Latin and reading knowledge in at least one modern research language in addition to English (French, German, Italian). Master's students will be encouraged to continue their study of ancient Greek and Latin.
